What to expect for Unstoppable this year
The Artistic Concept
For this 3rd edition, we chose to blend the art of boudoir photography with the timeless beauty of Renaissance-inspired decor. This exhibit is not only a celebration of feminine grace and empowerment but also a heartfelt initiative to raise donations for two fantastic charities: After Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Canada.
"Unstoppable 3.0" will feature multiple women posing together in intimate and empowering boudoir poses, in meticulously crafted settings that echo the opulence and sophistication of the Renaissance era. We created four distinct photo sets that depict the stages women often experience during the body-appreciation journey. These stages range from hiding their bodies out of fear and shame to ultimately reaching an unapologetic moment where they proudly show more skin. This powerful transition is made possible through the mutual support they receive and give to one another.
The Models
What makes this exhibit truly special is our incredible models, who are all breast cancer survivors. These women, who have undergone single or double mastectomies, some with breast reconstructions and some without, showcase their bodies in all their beautiful, authentic glory. Their participation highlights not only their physical beauty but also their profound strength and resilience. Through this exhibit, we aim to redefine perceptions of beauty, celebrating every scar and story that contributes to their journey.
The opening night
Upon the completion of the photoshoots, the final images will be showcased in a printed exhibition at a gallery. We will host an opening night (or a soirée as we like to call it!) with an entrance fee based on a "Donate What You Can" model. All donations collected during the soirée will be managed by Scandaleuse Photography and will be entirely distributed between the two selected organizations. We are aiming for the opening night to take place in October 2024.

The Artists
We are Juliette and Fanny, photographers specializing in boudoir photography.
Seven years ago, we founded Scandaleuse Photography with the mission of helping women and femme-presenting individuals embrace their bodies and boost their confidence, while slamming the door on expectations and judgment.
Over time, we have increasingly worked with breast cancer survivors seeking to rediscover and love their bodies following single or double mastectomies and/or reconstructions. Appreciating and feeling beautiful in one’s body is challenging, particularly for women. For breast cancer survivors, this challenge is even greater. Society's beauty standards have long dictated perceptions of "imperfections" and femininity. When significant changes occur to one’s breasts, or they are lost entirely, it can shatter a woman's sense of worth. It shouldn't be that way.
At Scandaleuse Photography, we are dedicated to redefining these standards and celebrating the unique beauty of every individual. Together, we can foster a more inclusive and empowering view of beauty, encouraging everyone to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
Unstoppable over the years…
The concept of “Unstoppable” has remained consistent since its inception in 2018: featuring women of all shapes and sizes posing together partially nude for a powerful photographic series.
The first edition of UNSTOPPABLE was purely a creative project, aimed at boosting women's self-confidence and appreciation for their bodies, regardless of societal standards:
The second edition, created in 2022, evolved into our first exhibition to raise funds in support of the fight against domestic abuse. During and after the many COVID-19 lockdowns, domestic abuse reached unprecedented levels. Through this project, we successfully raised $3,000 for the Canadian Women's Foundation and Sistering, a Toronto-based shelter for women.
